The second track written for the EP. This one almost didn't make the cut (A shame for the other three tracks) because I was quite unsatisfied with it at first. After rerecording the bass and adding vocals, it grew on me enough to include. The outro was originally much longer with me repeating "I am king!" over and over again until my throat got tired, but I realized it was boring as hell so I cut most of it out. This is the only track on the album that isn't in E standard, instead being recorded in Drop D
lyrics
In the night while you slept, I packed my things and ran.
I told myself it was because this city couldn't hold me back when really, I'm a coward.
I couldn't bear to let you watch me fall when I'm a coward.
I couldn't bear to let you watch me fall.
In the night, the rain turns the miles into silver.
It is then that I am...
In the night, the rain turns the miles silver.
It is then that I am...
It is then that I am king.
