False Implication, Silent Approval

from Untitled by Warren of Ohms

about

The final track written and recorded for the album. After the album goes from being mathy skramz to a more hardcore feel on the prior two tracks, I wanted a return to the sound found in the first two tracks before delving into the more post-rock/post metal sound of the closers. From a compositional standpoint, it follows the riffing style of Eleanor and Frequency quite closely and contains an homage to The Mars Volta, as Jon Theodore is one of my greatest drum influences. My favorite part is from "No one knows.." onward and it contains some of my favorite guitar work to play on the album.
The EP was originally intended to be 5 tracks at about 9 minutes but I kept writing ideas so this is one of three tracks written past the intended length.

lyrics

Is this it?
Happiness is increasingly harder to pursue these days.
I'm finding out the hard way why a tie and noose are made almost the exact same way.
With a black claw around my throat, I am drained.
No one knows...
No one knows I've been falling for the past few years.
I'm not dying for sophistication, just begging for change
