OCD

from Untitled by Warren of Ohms

about

The first track written for the EP. This was originally just a demo of a Fulltone OCD pedal that I wrote and threw scratch vocals over in thirty minutes to get an idea of how the pedal would sound in a full song. As you may have guessed, this song is actually named after the guitar pedal that appears on every track of this album. Along with Frequency, it's the only track to use a title irrelevant to the actual lyrics. Everything you hear on this track, from the sloppy playing to the vague lyrics, is literally the first take and single handedly inspired this EP. My favorite moment is the music break where the vocals are alone and everything hits again.

lyrics

Don't wait for the sun to set or you risk tightening that noose around your neck... slowly.

The chalk faces guard the streets and take rest in the evening,
But I watched mine wash away aeons ago.
