This track was written a day or so after the completion of Eleanor, technically making it the fourth song completed to make it on the album. You will notice that this song distinctly uses less screaming than the others and has more of a shout. That is because recording the vocals never quite sounded natural, so I wound up burning my throat out after attempting so many takes. I eventually settled on the yell you hear and was quite pleased with the final result. My favorite moment on this is easily the outro after the breakdown, that is rhythmically influenced by Botch.
lyrics
Oh how I wish you were me when they cut the oxygen to your brain.
You were so unsuspecting and I was unwinding at the nerves.
You could tie eight sticks together to make four crosses and nail them to each of my limbs,
and you still couldn't save me from this hell that I'm in.
There would be no savior to grant forgiveness.
