I've Seen Things You People Wouldn't Believe

from Untitled by Warren of Ohms

about

Originally, Frequency was intended to be the closer but while noodling around on guitar one day, I wrote the first 3 minutes of this song in one go. I decided that this would be the closer because of it's noticeably darker and heavier atmosphere and so I structured the tracks in an effort to logically build up to this conclusion without it seeming too contrasting due to the extreme post-metal influence only slightly hinted at on tracks prior. The end drum work is a tribute to Neil Perry and the song was originally going to reflect this in the title, but as I kept writing more ideas and shifting through various names for the track, the idea was scrapped. On top of it being the only track to feature proper clean vocals, it's the only track to include an acoustic guitar and have lyrics that I had no part in writing. This is one of three tracks written past the intended length.

lyrics

I've seen things you people wouldn't believe.
Attack ships on fire off the shoulder [of] Orion.
[I] watched c-beams glitter [in the dark] near [the] Tannhäuser Gate.
All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain.
Time to die.
